Question is, will there be an ol’ reddit race-to-the-pun comment chain
I think they’re adorable! Especially the bees and squirrels
*In those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on ’em. ‘Gimme five bees for a quarter!’, you’d say.*
How quaint. I didn’t realise people still used cash.
Putting the digits back is welcome. Spelling it out on the last revamp was dumb.
The dormouse SQUEEEEE! I think they are pretty, well the black grouse isn’t but you know.
Didn’t they just remove charity status from RSPB? XD! Whybthe nature theme? Government is actively destroying it.
Don’t be silly, all I keep in my pockets is tattered old receipts and toddler stuff
They’re great! Just a shame I rarely have any physical cash on me these days, nevermind coins!
I think a lot of thought went into the design and I can see why they went in this direction but personally I’m not a huge fan
I like them, but it’s time to do away with the penny and two penny
I don’t see the point in even having an opinion when I never carry cash tbh. I use coins for one vending machine at my work and that’s it.
Can’t remember the last time I actually carried any coins
I was like what’s that small silver coin? It took me longer than I’d like to admit that I had forgotten we have 5ps.
I haven’t used cash in so long 😭
Edit to say I love the bees and wildflower coins
I actually really like these! I went in with what silly ideas have they had but I like it. Might help keep the wildlife we have left in the forefront of peoples minds.
To think, 30 years from now kids will be asking ‘um grandad, who’s that lady on your coin?’
Fack me…
1and 2p complete waste of time. Not worth what the 1/2 p was worth when it was scrapped.
Sorry many coins already in circulation these will take decades to decades to be come regular in change
So glad we finally got those ridiculous royals off the coins
I like the design.
Though it’s unlikely any of us will ever use most of them, I can’t even remember when I last saw a 10p coin.
Kinda ironic, the most nature depleted country in the whole of Europe, and we’re sticking different animals on our coins. Greed and money is what has killed so many of our precious species off.
Why the fuck are they putting bees on the pound? People don’t want to look at bees.
Thistle on the 2 quid coin. Scotland has finally gotten the attention it deserves.
Lol haven’t had coins in my pocket since before covid.
Big improvement.
I’m jealous of the Falkland Islands having penguins on their pennies.
They are worth fuck all these days but at least they look nice i guess
Those are pretty, look forward to finding them in my change.
Not sure If this is blue passport propaganda or not..
