In short, few liters of beer keg spilled on my car backseat, i found detailing service on google and the guy had to take the seats off and had a few days of work, now its just drying out (accident happend 6 days ago)… i expected 300 to maximum 500 euros for the service but this is just outrageous.

Im wondering is it even legal to give me this kind of receipt, should i ask for a specified price per thing made?

I am not sure what to do because i dont have that kind of money right now since i just bought the car, thanks for any help or advice.

  1. Sorry for the beer loss 😉
The letter is weird, it is missing the company address and bank account, and the Value Added Tax.
Normally a garage gives you a quote before doing work.

  2. No, it’s not correct. Umsatzsteuer ID is missing, VAT amount is missing.

  3. In no universe costs a car cleaning service to get rid of beer spots 1000 euro.

  4. This is crap. This reads like a fucking novel, going on and on an on with irrelevant descriptions. Just the intro is stupid.

You need an invoice. This should include:

name of the company, including the legal form (GmbH, GbR or such), the business address, the date, an itemized list with prices including VAT, the total sum, how you should pay.

In case you have already paid in cash, it should say “Betrag bar erhalten” also with date and signature.

If you are supposed to do a bank transfer, the company’s bank account data should also be on there.

“1000Euro” is bullshit. It doesn’t say whether it’s including VAT, nothing. If the company is small and they are exempt from charging VAT, the invoice explicitly has to state that (Kleinunternehmer-Regelung).

EDIT: Oh, and they have to separately list the Material- and Arbeitskosten, the latter with x Euros per hour, y people z hrs = sum of Arbeitskosten. Materialkosten is the stuff they used, cleaning materials, spray, whatever, also needs to be listed in detail.

  5. If i would bring that receipt to our accountant he would hit me with his calculator very hard (no it isn’t a legal receipt, also be very careful with accountants that do bodybuilding)

  6. ChatGPT, write me a novel about cleaning a car that also contains a random number.
