That is wasn’t considered a genocide decades before this is a massive mistake and oversight… glad to see it is getting recognized for what it was.
I had never even heard about it until I watched the HBO series Chernobyl, and had to look up what holodomor even meant…
Hopefully this gets taught in future history classes.
If it falls under genocide we need to open up the book on a lot more
Where I saw the headline, my first thought was “What the hell does a picante sauce maker know about genocide?”
I’m not surprised. Now that Russia is out of the Council of Europe and nobody is minded to keep their favour, these things suddenly become pretty easy.
Cool now do the three genocides the people have withstood and return the land that is still being stolen today.
