Please be careful when discussing the case, and do not name any names that would prejudice the investigation:
It is of course strange that it took almost 7 years for a full search and recovery of human remains in Tina’s house to take place. However a few interesting pieces of information I have found may explain the recent developments:
* Gardai have been investigating this case as a murder since July of this year, with an evidence room set up in Youghal garda station.
* Gardai have been analysing the man in his 50s previous statements and media interviews, having noticed a number of inconsistencies.
* Gardai were tipped off by a worker of a utility company who was doing work on a nearby property and noticed something strange near one of the drains.
* The remains were apparently found under the floorboards under the stairs of the house. It is being said that the house has been renovated a number of times since she went missing back in 2017. The remains were found 1 meter under the floor boards and were encased in concrete.

It’s beyond rare that a body would be found in that manner.
The Guards can’t be going in ripping up floorboards and digging underneath houses every time someone goes missing.
It’s no wonder so many missing people have never been found, the gardai are either inept or couldn’t be bothered, no excuse for this level of incompetence
Amazing work by the utility worker for reporting the suspicion to the Gardai. That’s presumably what gave them the ammo they needed to dig up that house and finally put that monster in a cage. Hopefully a dark cage.
I dont think saying anything can remotely prejudice anything beyond what everyone already knows or what is already readily available on social media etc or will know in a few days. It’s not like kids are involved. Literally nothing that can be said now can prejudice anything given that identity will be known anyway pre trial and media circus will arise anyway.
But there you go…
>noticed something strange near one of the drains.
That sounds…unpleasant
I’m wondering will he sing or keep schtum? From the sounds of it, it looks like a lot of will and determination and planning in use here on his part. Not sure I’d trust or believe anything out of his mouth even if he did come clean when questioned now.
Unless they used a ground radar throughout the house there’s no way they’re finding her there.
I wonder what was found near the drain that got the ball rolling be intrested when that eventually comes out. Delighted it looks like justice will be done in the end
Love that line on the IT link
*Discovery of human remains is hugely significant, gardaí say, six years on from disappearance*

So March 20 she’s gone. He reports her missing four days later. Was this the time the floor was dug up, one metre deep and covered in and repaired to an extent in didn’t raise any suspicions when the guards searched the house.. weeks later.. on June 7 the guards conducted a technical examination of the house
