4. And that is why there is no incentive for Democrats to save them. There really isn’t anything that needs to happen immediately (at least for a few more weeks) so it doesn’t really hurt to let them twist under their own disfunction.

   When Republicans control the House, the U.S. credit rating gets downgraded due to the debt ceiling debacle. And now they can’t even keep or vote in a leader who will keep the government open.

   The choice is clear.

25. My opinion of them echoes Roger Eberts’ opinion of Freddy got Fingered. The Republican Party does not scrape the bottom of the barrel. It isn’t the bottom of the barrel. The Republican Party doesn’t deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence as barrels.
