  1. >“The world’s on fire. Our adversaries are watching what we do and quite frankly they like it.” -Rep. Mike McCaul (R-Texas)

Reasonable people everywhere, Republican or not, are not your “adversaries”.

We want people who *govern* and address real issues. Not this bullshit in-fighting and bending the kneed to a criminal like Trump.

  2. I’m not laughing so hard I’m crying, you’re laughing so hard You’re crying

  3. The House Republicans might as well hold a bingo tournament live on Fox News and the winner gets to be Speaker of the House.

  4. It is quite pathetic to watch this political theater unfold while there is blatant suffering in the Middle East. Can the GOP look any more childish right now?

  5. If 5 of you all just voted for Jeffries, just sayin.

  6. “Broken” implies that it once worked well. It’s just a bag of garbage that really should go out to the curb.

  7. There’s 5 idiots getting “donations” to shut down our government. Nothing will change while our elected officials get rich being elected. Maybe it’s time to move on from the 2 party system. It’s obvious the trumpublicians aren’t one party anymore. Even the democrats aren’t one party anymore their just smart enough to unite to run the government. If each party is broken up in caucuses, then we have more than 2 political parties. It’s time to evolve.

Repeal citizens united. Stop letting elected officials get rich off exploiting us

  8. Republicans is a party with no Principles and no respect for the Principles and Values of America’s Representative Democracy and Our Republic Form of Governance.

They don’t respect our departments and divisions, and they have shown no respect for our Judicial System.

They will continue to implode, because the America society wants no more of White Nationalist Ideology and certainly no more of White Nationalism of Wealthy White Male Dominance.

America wants no more of the disrespect of women to make her own choices and lives as a person who is an individual, with individual rights as person.

America wants no more of Right Wing Religious Fanatics and Right Wing Anti Government types trying to dictate over society.

American wants no more Right Wing Conservative Republicanism that has a single focus to serve the wealthy, and destroy our tax base, and fight against any and every investment in America and American people and American society.

American certainly don’t want another 4 yrs of a meglomaniac mad man (Trump), bully stomping with belligerence and promoting divisiveness and has no respect for principles or values of America and American Democracy and the American people and no respect for the institutions of government and has shown a tyrannical mad man mentality against our Justice System.

Right Winger elected Trump because they hated to see a Black man in office who achieved the successes that Obama achieved and showed the world how to be a man for his family and an appreciator of America’ diverse cultures and arts, and embrace the concern for the health and safety of American young and old. He put constraints of the greed banks had engaged and fought to promote the protections for American Consumers.

Trump tried to undo all of it, but his efforts caused damages, but he could not destroy the good that Obama did which resonated in the minds and hearts of society.

Trump screwed up everything he touched!!!! and insulted and maliciously treated our government cabinet position as if he was some tyrant trying to dictate and demand worship from anyone who held a cabinet position. Trump set us back decades, creating a great mess than even Richard Nixon did. and caused parallel damage to what Reagan did.

It’s best that Republicanism does not recover, because it has been damaging for decades to America, American society and our growth and stability.

  9. “The world is on fire!”

Yet the first thing they will do is pass a symbolic statement”

I am bracing myself for Speaker Santos

  10. God I hope the GOP is decimated in the 2024 election.

We need voter turnout to be so high that right wingers would be worried that Texas may go blue.

It won’t. But we need that much turn out for the GOP to be done for.

We need people to be prepared and fight through the voter suppression.

  11. “This is the worst team I’ve ever been on.” Needs to be the top comment.

  12. So Republicans being Republicans have not considered someone more moderate and working with Dems to get the count? Naw crazy thinking, MAGA would enraged and have to constantly kiss their asses.

  13. As a progressive: *laughs uncontrollably*

    As an American: *cries uncontrollably*

  14. Then fucking stand aside and let the party who can whip their caucus together give it a shot. Or better yet a power share agreement like the Senate when its split 50/50.

Kick the traitor 8 FC out of your party and let them finish their terms as black sheep.

  15. Broken conference? You’re a broken party! Trying to pretend that you are not is only prolonging the facade. The whole GOP needs a mental enema. They can’t even work with each other for fucks sake.

  16. And eventually they Will elect someone but said person will have to be so extreme that any sort of bipartisan will be a impossibility for him.

  17. Republicans act like petulant children.

    Get it together, losers….

  18. As Scalise heads to Capital Grill to drown his sorrows.

  19. A wise man once said

“You get what you fucking deserve”

  20. We are watching a political party implode in real time.

  21. I guess even the “David Duke without the baggage” has a fair amount of baggage.

  22. This is a political minority party with too many members. They need to be voted out of office for their own sake so they can regroup with a post-maga vision.

  23. They are literally hurting the entire country to ‘own the Libs’!

  24. Broken party more like. The entire Republican Party is broken.

  25. If this goes on another week, gotta think a few moderate purple district republicans make a deal with Dems for a centrist speaker

  26. If there was a reasonable Republican in Congress, they could work with the Dems on some sort of deal. Maybe Dem support for a less heinous Republican in return for some additional committee leaders or something. I am sure something could be done but it would require some intelligent Republicans, so, yeah, no.

  27. They haven’t hit bottom until Santos runs. That should be soon.

  28. And yet I haven’t seen a single “Republicans in Disarray” article.

  29. You just confirmed what we’ve all known for 6 years now

  30. I see the sideshow clowns are intent to continue stepping on rakes until their noses break.

  31. Hard core Dem here. I just want a functioning government. Can’t we just have some R’s work with some D’s to break this stalemate and get some shit done? That how it used to work. Just fucking compromise and get this shit back on the rails. It’s not fucking rocket science. Everyone is so scared of getting ‘primaried’. Grow a pair and get shit done and maybe the public will appreciate that.

  32. Maybe you should all pick someone you *don’t* like and get on with it.
