I think people are delusional in thinking Palestine is somehow going to return to how it was before, even before the major attack. Israel did steal the land from them and continues to steal their land which is undeniable. But the war has been long over and Palestine lost. The best they could have hoped for was to pick up what they had left of Palestine and try to rebuild in Gaza and West Bank using the humanitarian aid that they have been getting for decades. However, for whatever reason, Hamas and the majority of Gazans have decided to go scorched earth deciding to lay waste and sacrifice what’s left of Palestine in order to focus on killing as many of the occupiers as possible. And for what? When this is over, the West Bank will be the last remaining piece of Palestine, and Israel will continue to live on.
Gaza City? Still not happening.
AKA the IDF is going to turn Gaza City into Y2K Grozny – one big blast crater – a fuck around and find out reminder for generations.
In case anyone wondering “How can a million people move away in 24 hours before being bombed?” and are being bullshitted in the comments needs an appeal to authority:

Let me tell you something, as an Israeli.
Israel didn’t have a problem with Gaza, that’s why we withdrew from it in 2005, hoping for peace.
But israel just learnt that it WON’T live with Hamas, period, and we just saw why.
Hamas militants are all over Gaza, and mostly in tinnels underground, and hiding in hospitals and publics buildings everywhere, and they will be destroyed, simple as that. Slaughtering hundreds of young party goers and burning families in their home won’t be accepted.
I can’t even organize a party of 5 people to come to my house within 72 hrs
