the intelligence failure is truly the story of this conflict so far
Why do you not support Hamas like Biden voters
Sickening
“Senior Hamas official Ali Baraka, the head of the Lebanon-based Hamas National Relations Abroad, told RT Arabic following Saturday’s attack that the terror organization has been preparing for the attack for two years.”
“At a training site hundreds of feet from the Erez Crossing, a wall of a building has a drawing of two palm trees and an animal figure that looks similar to Israel’s Erez Crossing battalion’s insignia.”
“The video shows them even practicing taking prisoners and zip-tying their hands at the camp.”
I forget which US politician or political commentator said this but someone said back in the Iraq war days that the USA needs to let a terrorist attack succeed once in a while so citizens quit complaining about the cost of the war on terror. I would bet that eventually this will be discovered to be the reason this atrocity occurred. Israel now has a blank check to massacre the Palestinians.
Is it an intelligence failure, or did Israel let it happen so they could destroy Hamas?
Israel just got attacked and had multiple hundreds of civilians massacred and people will still blame the “Jews” for Hamas’ actions.
Mhm okay
Oh you don’t say? You mean Israel had eyes on this the whole time?!? What a surprise that one of the most surveilled places on Earth had training going on. IN PLAIN SIGHT.
LIHOP Let It Happen On Purpose
The idf was hunting children at the time. Totally missed it. Imagine one of the most sophisticated defense systems in the world was fucking penetrated by dudes on paragliders.
Why does this matter? It’s almost like if you attack another country whether you prepared it or not they’re going to respond.
Ex military here.
I was a forward observer in the Turkish army, we knew everything the enemy did within 50 miles.
Patrols and observers constantly updated the higher ups about every single new weapon brought to enemy frontline. We knew their capabilities, where they’d come if they wanted to, how long would it take them to get to us, how we’d respond, etc.
We had units ready to go 24/7 in case of border incursion. Day and night we always had certain number of men armed and ready to fight.
And things were nowhere near this intense for us.
There is no way in hell they didn’t know about this.
And that was 1996, way before drones and satellite connected coms were a thing.
Egypt warned them a few days before the attack. Israel knew this was going to happen and let it.

>The suspect traveled to Malaysia in 2012, where he and nine other Hamas members learned in a week-long military-style exercise how to fly a powered parachute. The cell members underwent repeated training sessions on how to fly into Israel and carry out attacks, and were ordered by their Hamas commanders to keep their training top secret.
Israel probably knew this was a possible way it would be attacked long ago. I mean they even accused Malaysia of training them.
it is true, but they train that way for years, and everyone in the IDF knew about it. this alone serve no indication to the attack.
I would also like to remind everyone that intelligence failure means that Israel got enough information to prepare better and didn’t, there is a possibility Israeli intelligence didn’t know about the attack, in that case it is not a failure.
