UN halten Israels Befehl zur Evakuierung von 1,1 Millionen Menschen aus Gaza für unmöglich

  1. Even if the UN was extraordinarily competent this ask would still be impossible, and we all know the UN is impotent.

  2. Is Israel planning on cutting Gaza in half? Relocate all the people in the north part to the south, and then just claim the empty upper half of Gaza?

  3. I watched the evacuation warning and didn’t hear them say it had to be done in 24 hours. Did I miss it?

  4. > Know it’s impossible for 1.1 million Gazan’s to leave the area in 24 hours
    > Gave warning
    > Acceptable to starting killing Palestinian citizens in-directly.

This could go south real quick and the tribalistic West is moderately okay with it, tragic.

  5. UN didnt condemn the massacres, UN will state whatever works against Israel.

  6. The whole strip is 25miles long right? Aljazera website suggests it’s less than an hour to drive from northmost to southmost point, so it’s asking people to take a 15min drive or a 2h walk if they don’t have access to a car and un doesn’t think they need more assistance within a 24h window doesn’t seem impossible.

Of course it isn’t ideal, but nothing in this situation is, and if this saves lives…. i imagine most people here at least spend longer on their daily commute to and from work every day

  7. Tomorrow is Shabbat. I really doubt Israel will be going in, and if anything it would be a great time to get the humanitarian corridor running.

When the advance begins, it will be slow and methodical from north to south.
They have more than enough time to evacuate a stretch of around 15km, and I doubt Israel will fully clear it even by the end of next week.

    Release the hostages!

  8. Israel is using disproportionate force. No one condones what Hamas did. That was terror at worst. However Israel is in danger of starting genocide if not careful. Emotions run high and unfortunately USA isn’t helping much with cheerleading leveling of Gaza including innocent civilians as collateral. What a sad world we live in.

  9. Cutting off food, water, electricity and medical supplies will result in otherwise. Not to mention the bombing of schools, UN buildings and hospitals. On top of the the BBC and AP has confirmed the IDF is using white phosphorous, an illegal weapon. International law is clear about what is allowed to be used during times of war, Hamas is obviously not following international law and deserves to be condemned for that, but Israel is also clearly not respecting the preservation of human life.

Even if Israel succeeds in taking out Hamas, which is unlikely because guerrilla wars are notoriously impossible to win, Israel will leave tens of thousands of dead civilians, and will have to answer for killing such a high percentage of civilians. Already Israel has killed over 10x more children than Hamas has and this number is climbing very, very quickly. That is all to say blaming Hamas only goes so far, and doesn’t justify genocide.

  10. Not with that attitude

Everyone on the train to Egypt

  11. Evacute 1.1 million Palestinians. After the war, there will be 1.1 million Israeli jews occupying their houses. How convenient for Israel.

  12. https://www.berlingske.dk/internationalt/israel-og-hamas-er-i-krig-foelg-udviklingen-her-3), translated into English:

    Here’s the translation in English:

“Israel understands that the evacuation of northern Gaza will take more than 24 hours,” says spokesperson. Israel does not want to harm civilian Palestinians, emphasizes IDF’s spokesperson, Admiral Daniel Hagari, according to The Times of Israel.

“We are fighting a terrorist organization, not the people of Gaza. We do not want to harm civilians, but we cannot live with Hamas-ISIS rule near our border,” says Hagari.

The order to evacuate Palestinians from northern Gaza is to enable “freedom of action and increase the damage” against Hamas, it says.

After the UN has announced that such an evacuation of 1.1 million people in 24 hours would be impossible without “devastating humanitarian consequences”, the spokesperson says the army understands it will take “several days”.

“We convey the warning through communication channels and in Arabic, there are ways the message can reach the population,” he says.

“Those who do not listen to the recommendations put their family at risk.”

  13. I would start moving if I were them. Israel is not going to stop and nobody is going to make them. Egypt needs to open their border and stop fucking around.

  14. UNnecessary organization, as usual
disband yourself if you are unable to do anything

  15. Put your phone down and get moving. Now’s not the time for a TikTok video complaining.
