Ireland should take in Palestinian since they love them so much.
I dont see Israel backing for now, its very complicated. Ireland should take some refugees, if they want to help for real.
Easy solution, let the peace loving Palestinians into your country. I am sure you two will be inseparable.
Irish and Palestinians… They know a few things about murdering civilians. Sons of Gaddafi!
What most people don’t know is that the Irish Republican Army was supplied by various Arab factions with weapons, hence why Irish people side with Palestine.
Go home Ireland. You’re drunk.
What does he suggest happens? Hamas are just left to terrorise the populations of Gaza and Israel?
Ok then, you wanna take the palestinians? Ask Jordan how that went, you wet fart.
Rabid redditors thirsting for blood is a sight to behold holy shit
Well, he’s primarily talking about shutting off water and electricity.
To be honest, I think it’s okay if Israel wants to do it for a 7-10 period before launching the ground invasion. Then, turn it back on, afterward.
Turning all that off would also do wonders in getting civilians to leave and not enough people think about that.
Otherwise, with Israel having a relatively small population compared to most Western countries, they have a limited logistics supply chain. They have to wage war quick and brutally unless they want their nation to suffer economically. And so, again, turning it off now may be the smart thing to do.
Not eradicating Hamas is not acceptable. Anything else might be tragic, but there is no other option.
Why would Israel have to provide for the entity that is currently at war with them and wants nothing more than kill all Jews?
To everyone saying Ireland should take in Palestinians, the reason why people are calling for the emancipation of Palestinians is because the right to self determination (the entire basis of Zionism) is being stripped away. Moving Palestinians from Palestine to anywhere else, be it Egypt or Ireland, does not resolve the issue.

Not only did he insult Hamas, thus condemning them and their actions, he also attacked the wider community of anti-Semites around the world. Some of these comments on r/worldnews are becoming unhinged. When did water not become a human right? And if it’s not a human right for terrorists, then he’s exactly right, this does amount to collective punishment.
Just what he said for people who can’t or don’t want to open the article.
An Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has criticised Israel for cutting off electricity and water supplies to Gaza, describing the actions as “not acceptable,” and saying they may breach international law.
“Israel is under threat. They do have a right to defend themselves, but they don’t have the right to breach international humanitarian law.”
“Israel is a country that is surrounded by these brutal, savage, groups like Hamas and Hezbollah, countries like Iran, often supported by Islamic fundamentalists and anti-Semites around the world.”
“I’m really concerned about what I’m seeing happening in Gaza at the moment”
“To me, it amounts to collective punishment. Cutting off power, cutting off fuel supplies and water supplies, that’s not the way a respectable democratic state should conduct itself.”
Mr Varadkar called on Hamas to release all hostages immediately, and said Israel is “justified in attacking Hamas in Gaza and elsewhere.”
However, he added, “operations that clearly affect civilians disproportionately are wrong.”
“I believe by targeting civilians and by cutting off civilian infrastructure, that is a breach of international humanitarian law. And I think it’s very important for us, as Ireland to make sure that that voice is brought to the table at European Union level.”
How about Israel leaves the Palestinians alone 🤷🏻♂️ that’s never been tried before
ITT: “Oh, you’re speaking up against the war crimes we’re witnessing? Why don’t you take in all the refugees then”.
Given Irish history and the troubles, maybe we should listen to them as they know a thing or 2 about forging peace.
Send those “peaceful” Palestinian to Ireland, let’s see how they deal with them.
The same, usual trolls are like:
“Well let these people in if you care so much!”
Totally missing the point that he doesn’t want to see the humanitarian crisis to let the happen in the first place.
God damn, people have gone insane since this tragedy started. You can totally stick up for Israel but also not be a fan of how they are getting their revenge.
So, Palestinians murder Israeli citizens, and Israel should, what, do nothing? Support the terrorists? Well, this is from Ireland, which for years supported the IRA.
Bravo Leo
Kudos to him for having the spine to speak out. It’d be nice if my president wasn’t such a bootlicker, but that AIPAC money is too sweet.
Israel is very good at collective punishment and that’s what they are doing. Sad thing is that no one cares about the Palestinians. Most surrounding Arab nations just look the other way
Ireland has been pro-Hamas for decades, they can sit this one out.
How about shut the f up Leo and build some much needed housing in your own country? This guy worries about everything but the people he’s supposed to be responsible for.
Another stupid politician saying bullshit. I believed no one was supplying goods to germany during WW (maybe except Switzerland because Switzerland)

I’m glad someone had the balls to say something
