May he rot in hell for what he did to her, to think that she was under the stairs for all that length of time while he was courting the media.

The perpetrator should serve his sentence in a walled in area underneath a stairwell.
Cannot understand how someone could do something like that, and then just carry on living in the house, knowing what’s behind the wall or under the floor, and knowing what you did.

I can’t imagine the pain of her family; spending years wondering what happened and she was still inside her home all along.
I hope giving her a proper burial and the likelihood of the arrested man being charged gives them some comfort
It’ll be cold comfort to her family, but at least she’s been found and he’ll be brought to justice. There are many, many other missing women in this country who will probably never be found.

absolutely horrible story and a sick individual. i’m willing to bet he was a violent, controlling partner and genuinely thought he’d get away with it. all that “the guards can come and search my house any time” stuff he was coming out with for years reads as complete mockery now.
only good thing is that her family will receive her remains for a proper burial and hopefully get some semblance of closure.
I wonder how many other cases are ongoing where the guards and general public know damn well who did it, and yet can’t do anything about it.
