Hamas can de-escalate this any time they want, all they need to do is release all of the hostages and surrender the terrorists responsible for last week’s attack.
Edit: I find it sad this comment is “controversial”, it’s amazing people can justify a direct military assault on a music festival and the slaughter & kidnapping of hundreds of innocent people from more than a dozen countries.

Sometimes I feel like the US and Israel use the US as a scarecrow.

Everyone knows Israel will push their tribalist beliefs. But then people see the US backing Israel with 0 restraint, that’s what really scares the shit out of folks.
Like Israel probably wins most battles. But they take damage. The US just fucking decimates any enemy outside of mainland China.

So the appearance of the US as even less critical of Israel then Israel itsself… That’s a powerful thing.
