  1. I can barely mobilize my family for thanksgiving at my parents house. How does Israel plan on mobilizing 2 million people with no promise of stuffing?

  2. The plan was never meant to be realistic. The plan was meant to deflect responsibility when civilians still remain and get hit.

  3. While I support Israel to destroy the Hamas terrorists, this has to be done with minimal cost to human life. Denying food, water and electricity to two million Palestinians during all this chaos is going to turn this situation into a humanitarian crisis without precedent.

[The conflict between Israeli and Palestinian peoples](https://youtu.be/iRYZjOuUnlU?si=3uPFQ3cRG0tRWXT3) has been going on for over a century.

As a result, [Gaza has been turned into the world’s biggest prison](https://youtu.be/iWG7JB9saE4?si=jOxwua5Pa8e9u6xu). Now, after almost two decades of blockade, and countless warnings from the UN and human rights watch groups, Gaza is a hive of human misery and extremism. The last thing these people deserve is for what little they have to be taken from them.

  4. What is impossible is for the UN to do something meaningful

  5. So just go and do it yourself or tell the hamas to take care of their own citizens.

  6. So they are wrong for trying to take out Hamas when the civilians are there and they are even more wrong for asking those civilians to not be there. So I’m guessing the only plan that is acceptable for Mr Borrell is doing absolutely nothing?.

  7. Reported by [AP](https://apnews.com/article/israel-hamas-gaza-war-crimes-icc-1a42212b95a7f6ce54909fb22e0d681d):

    **Did Hamas commit war crimes?**

    >After breaking through Israel’s security barrier early Saturday morning, Hamas militants gunned down entire families, including women and young children, in border communities around the Gaza Strip.

    >The attacks killed more than 1,300 people in Israel, including 247 soldiers — a toll unseen in Israel for decades.

    >In an analysis published on the international law website Opinio Juris, Cornell Law School professor Jens David Ohlin wrote that the Hamas attacks amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity.

    **Did Israel commit war crimes?**

    >The Israeli military has pulverized large parts of the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip with airstrikes and blocked deliveries of food, water, fuel, and electricity ahead of a possible ground invasion. The bombardment already has killed about 1,800 people in Gaza, including U.N. workers, paramedics, and journalists.

    >Experts say the blockade, which is hitting the territory’s more than 2 million residents, violates international law. “Collective punishment is a war crime. Israel is doing that by cutting electricity, water, food, blocking aid from entering the Gaza Strip.”

  8. Hamas is the organization responsible for this entire crisis. Israel is showing restraint.

  9. But also when they leave.. there is no chance to defend their home. What will happen to their homes? Everybody will be displaced but still “alive”. I would rather die I guess.

  10. Everyone expects this to be like the Princess Bride:

“So you’ll put down your rock, and I’ll put down my sword. And we’ll try to kill each other like civilized people?”

War is hell. It sucks. Hamas murders babies and then returns to hide in the shadows of the people and therefore Israel just has to sit there because there could be collateral damage? Nah – Hamas brought this on themselves and are now bringing it on their people. It’s horrible, but I don’t know what else a sovereign nation that is under CONSTANT threat of violence should do. I don’t want Palestinians to die. I can’t say Hamas feels the same, and that’s what is so fucked up. The Palestinians need to collectively overthrow Hamas (desperation may lead to that) and join their brothers in the West Bank by agreeing to allow the West Bank govt to rule them.

  11. What qualifies mr Burrell to reach this conclusion? Having looked at his previous statement, he is not exactly neutral observer.

  12. They are doing an ethnic cleansing. It is pretty obvious. They are unaliving everyone in Gaza, instead of limiting and targeting Hamas terrorists. Its like bombing an entire place because few of them are bad!

  13. Bot galore. I need to quit the internet at a certain point it’s more propaganda than real people on posts and comments

  14. Hamas telling it’s civillans to stay is not helping the evacuation.

  15. Why is it israel’s responsibility to evacuate the civilians effectively in an enemy country and not the enemy country. Hmmm
