I have bought a new car and I do not know much the german language. The seller has told me the car will have one year warranty but when I read the the translation of the contract it seems that it is not included?

Was I scammed ? Do I really get a the 1 year garantie or what does the bullet points means?

  1. Mostly yes. Your contract states it’s a contract for “trade/export/commercial customers” In this case the 1 year warranty does not apply.

  2. It’s a B2B contract, so you have no guarantee and even no rights to complain about defects. You bought the car as-is.

If you are an individual, not acting on behalf of a business, you were scammed.

  3. Why would you sign a document that you don’t understand?
