  1. For reference, the badge in question is a thin blue line badge but with a union jack.

It’s honestly embarrassing this is controversial.

  2. Britain has fucking loads of problems at the moment, and the Guardian focusing on shit like this is why nobody takes them seriously.

  3. They have a rotten orchard problem with their police departments too

  4. The badges are the problem that needs to be gotten rid of?

  5. To think that when we defy bans, these are the same people who come take us captive and threatens and abducts for years! Hypocrites!

  6. It’s also a symbol representing officers who have died while in the line of duty, so keep it. I really don’t see how the bollocks going on in the US should affect us that the Police are expected just to dismiss something with such significant meaning.

  7. the issue isnt WEARING a badge like that, the issue is having fash on the force…

  8. Fun fact: All coppers are bastards is an English phrase.

  9. Suella – pen poised – about to write to every Chief Constable again, to tell them how to do their jobs in 1, 2, 3

  10. The Thin Blue Line was a Rowen Atkinson comedy about the police, because the term has been used in the Uk for years. We are in the UK, not the US. The problem isn’t British police wearing it. The problem is the amount of idiots that can’t distinguish two distinct and totally different countries.

  11. The rozzers are c#@# it dont matter what they wear, additionally they should be arrested for defiling the Nations flag.

  12. Ridiculous to call the thin blue line a symbol of white supremacy.

  13. If I said white bread was appropriated by white supremacy, do we get rid of it? This malign political nonsense has to be challenged.
