The Republicans had a vote to choose between Jordan and Austin Scott as their nominee. The vote was 124 to 81 (205 total votes). Jordan won the nomination.
Then the Republicans did a secret vote (essentially a dry run) to see how many of his party were onboard with Jordan becoming speaker. The vote was 152 for and 55 against (207 total votes).
He would need 217 votes from all members of the House to become Speaker.
Wouldn’t it be easier for the clowns to just make a table of all possible nominees and everyone just filled out the form and then see who would get the most votes.
Mind-blowing that 152 people in our Congress voted for this insurrectionist to lead the House of Representatives.
We are doomed.
At least he is smart enough not to do a ‘Kevin’ and go through 15 humiliating rounds in the House. So far…

He is there solely to shit all over everything and prevent any kind of meaningful cooperation between the GOP and the Dems. He is the reason that the last vaguely effective GOP speaker quit the party and retired.
All of that to say that he will never, ever have the votes to be Speaker. No Democrat will vote for him and a not insignificant chunk of Republicans genuinely hate the guy for crippling the party and rolling out the red carpet for people like Celebrity Apprentice, Gaetz, Bobo, and Greene.
Which is odd because he seems to have a history with ignoring those wrestling issues.
