On Friday evening, several hundred people gathered around the Adam Mickiewicz monument in the main square to express their support for Palestine and its people.
The protesters carried Palestinian flags and banners with slogans such as “Free Palestine” and “Fighting colonialism is not terrorism.” “We want to express our disagreement with the blockade of the Gaza Strip, which today cuts it off from basic necessities such as water, food, electricity and gas. This is the largest open-air prison in the world, and it is undoubtedly a tragedy,” the protesters argued.
After the demonstration ended, the crowd of demonstrators marched through Market Square toward the US Consulate General on Stolarska Street. Speakers outside the consulate called Israel an “artificial creation,” expressing their belief that attention should be paid to the situation of Palestine and its people. The date of the demonstration sparked outrage in Krakow’s Jewish circles – Palestinians held the demonstration on World Jihad Day, which was declared by Hamas.

“Fighting colonialism is not terrorism”?
Scary how many people living in Europe are seeing Hamas as heroic freedom fighters.
Not Poland too
This all provides quite the support for stricter immigration policy
They listened to the direct orders from Hamas to protest on “World Jihad Day”, they are terrorist sympathisers. Normal Palestinian protestors could have chosen literally any other day to protest but these ones have outed themselves as possible terrorists who need to be put on a watch list.
Maybe we should ship them back? They obviously miss Palestine.
Tbh there were maybe max 100 people at this protest, but probably less
For the sake of what little faith in humanity I have left I hope these protestors at least leave Auschwitz alone…
At least on r/Europe it seems to me a very realistic view on the situation. I think the tides are turning away from complacency
Just to comment on a different aspect – the populists across Europe must be rubbing their hands with glee at this. These displays will push huge numbers of people to vote right-wing.
Haven’t heard them denounce Hamas once but lots of chanting about gasing the Jews and river to the sea stuff.
