  1. it actually might be a good indication that any really large scale offensives by the FSB and GRU will hold off until spring.

    A few major ice storms, and the local Ukraine defensive positions will become that much harder to overrun.

    But the real talking with needs to be Ukraine – to see if there is a honest set of leaders that will be willing to stand up in a confrontation.

    If not, might as well just hand over more territory.

    The current leaders in Ukraine are remarkably weak appearing, from an external viewpoint.

  2. I mean, I can see where Finland is coming from here. When it comes to security negotiations with Russia. Russia wants a deal with no newly admitted members. Finland objects because they’re a free country and can join, (even thought they never would)., so therefore should be included in the negotiation.

    But why would the US and Germany allow a non-NATO member, like Finland, in the negotiations in the first place?
