How much is this Egypt not wanting a refugee crisis and how much is this „if you leave you‘ll never be let in again“? (I feel I know the answer already)
Where is the outrage against Egypt for keeping the Palestinians locked inside a prison? Open the Rafah crossing to refugees.
I guess all those years of causing shit made the Egyptians not want to deal with them, again.
Everybody knows who and what these people are, and nobody wants to deal with them. Says a lot.

Seems like kind of a bad idea to be toying with the safety of American citizens at a time like this.
Why actually not let through third party nationals? Like what does Egypt care? They’ll stay in a hotel room a night or two. Spend some money, then fly home. Then can even demand pre-booked tickets.
Why doesn’t the country that is currently going through one of the worst economic crisis in it’s history and a looming water crisis and is currently being flooded with refugees from sudan, libya and syria not want to start accepting thousands of refugees that are currently filled with rage that they most likely just lost their homes permanently
Pretty smart, this will pressure Israel to let life-saving aid in.
Foreign countries won’t accept a situation where aid can’t get in for long if it also means that foreigners can’t get out.
Maybe we should send Senator Menendez as an envoy to Egypt, get our money’s worth in our investment in them?
How are you blaming a country that doesn’t have any implications for the actual WAR going on… Egypt isn’t going to take these people in because the country itself can’t take care of its own people. The Sinai Peninsula isn’t even equipped to take on that many refugees, its a DESERT. EVEN if they let them in there, ZERO guarantees they’ll be able to return to their land because that’s likely the objective of apartheid Israel. Moving them into Egypt shifts the problem to Egypt where Apartheid Israel is the cause of the displacement. It is NOT Egypt’s problem that the occupying state is BOMBING Palestinians. Apartheid Israel COULD allow the humanitarian aid to go into Gaza and help these people.
Maybe Israel should stop with the war crimes.
Egypt believes that Israel and the US want to create a Palestinian state in Sinai and this is part of a plot to do so.
