Patches from his current battalion available for donors giving $250+. Two patches available for donors of $1000 from the 3rd International Legion Special Purpose Battalion.
Jackie served in the US Army for 8 years as a Bradley Master-Gunner, training and fighting in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, South Korea, Great Britain, Australia, Poland and Romania. He has conducted combined arms military training for thousands of soldiers as a soldier and civilian contractor.
He brought this knowledge to Ukraine when the war started. He first fought in the International Legion where he received a 5.45mm round at close range (most is still in his liver). This injury led to him to training battalions of Ukraine’s Territorial Defense Forces. He trained and deployed to Bakhmut with the 135th last winter alongside [Nicholas Maimer](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dBf1WiNegMg), the US Green Beret veteran who was killed in Bakhmut in May 2023.
Jackie met Nick in July 2022 when Nick joined the 135th to assist with their training. They taught multiple classes at the same facility to prepare the unit for deployment to Bakhmut, which led to 15:1 kills to Ukrainian losses in the fighting.
Jackie advises 15 instructors, supervising and correcting them to provide high quality training. He has also developed and administered their assault programs personally and nearly all of their advanced and group marksmanship training.
They train infantrymen who are assigned to platoons and squads on operational and contingency planning, NCO training, and combined arms integration. They standardize battalion communications and tactics.
Jackie has even been on [CNN](https://www.cnn.com/videos/world/2022/06/28/ukraine-train-volunteers-us-abdelaziz-dnt-ovn-intl-hnk-vpx.cnn)!
Jackie is now training the 114th and really needs a car. His current car is becoming increasingly unreliable and he is hoping to buy a 4×4.
