If you look at this purely from the perspective of it being “NATO is evil” that all the pro-Russian posters like to do, then every scenario means advantage for NATO.
* NATO ignores Russian demands, Russia does nothing.. NATO comes out on top
* NATO ignores Russian demands, Russia invades Ukraine and gets tied up in an extremely costly conflict that they’re not guaranteed to win where their economy crashes, they lose countless lives as NATO gives weapons to Ukraine etc. NATO wins as Russia is massively weakened both economically and militarily
These Russian demands are self-defeating.
NATO is not folding on anything. Ukraine is neither a member state nor an official partner like Japan. All the Russian proposals regarding other nations have been sternly rejected.
