99% of those domains are owned by domain squatters who park them and ads on them. There is a few campaign EU domains like leave.eu but that’s mostly it. .EU domains are not popular and are hardly used in the UK. Storm in a tea cup but let me not get in the way of the daily Anti Brexit post on this sub, they need their fix.
Seems like a petty move.
Sir Tim Berners-Lee should have never given these technophobe EU nations the world wide web.
May get downvotes but I was today’s years old when I learned that .eu was a thing.
I honestly thought that (for example) French sites used .fr and/or .com and German sites used .de and/or .com
