  1. Regulation is badly needed. Take the sale away from unscrupulous dealers and sell to adults from licensed premises. It won’t stop it from falling into the wrong hands, but it will reduce it.

  2. Meanwhile in the Netherlands, my 11 year old nephew had never seen a vape before. Regulate it ffs.

  3. HCC vapes. Legal thc (it’s missing one carbonic element), available everywhere, get you stoned and no dealing with criminals.

  4. I’ve taken public transport to college and work on and off for 20 years now, and nothing is more shocking than the bang of weed as soon as you step off a bus or outside a train station over the last couple of years.

City Centre when people are walking to work in the morning, just smells of cannabis. So it’s definitely not just teenage kids.

  5. As few as that? Honestly would have thought it was at least 1 in 4

  6. Can we please stop pretending that criminality is the only issue surrounding cannabis. I see this at work every single day; cannabis, vape or otherwise, will fuck your lungs up; even more so if you are combining it with tobacco. I think there’s this attitude that respiratory conditions aren’t as “urgent” as say cardiac conditions for example, but COPD is a non reversible illness that is managed very poorly by Bronchodilators/Inhaled corticosteroids. You might think it’s harmless now, but I see on a daily basis just how bad COPD catches up with you later in life. So to the “it’s harmless” brigade, it really isn’t. This kids need to be educated about the potential long term risks, not the delusional hippies on here that downvote anything that disagrees with their opinions on cannabis.

  7. Black market will always exist because the Irish government will tax the living shit out of dispensary’s so people will always go to drug dealers for cheaper cannabis they don’t care where it comes from

  8. Getting weed was easier than getting drink as a kid, and no, one isn’t better than the other.

  9. Let’s arrest all these under age smokers and give them a criminal record! That will definitely stop them from smoking the devils cabbage! R/s

  10. Guess that means 5 in 6 Irish teenage pupils are liars

  11. This is an outrage, only one in six. Should be a pass rate of 85% at the very least.

  12. Legalise it and it’ll become a tax paying industry. Gardai can get their overtime fighting real crimes.
