He’ll take the constitutional oath in the Council of State in November.
Monarchy, embarrassing.
What is this joke?
Seize all monarch’s property, this shit has to end
There is nothing more cringy than people cheering a hereditary monarchy.
I hope he can be a good leader for his people.

And?
Looks like a nice day out
So this is how rich celebrate 18th birthday, i had 30 people at my party in the yard of my house, it was fun and good.
Probably better than this party would be.
I don’t understand the thought process that precedes voluntarily going to celebrate this dude. What has he done? Denmark is such a weird mix of one of the most egalitarian authority averse and informal societies on earth, and a sizable chunk of the population just itching to wave their little flags at royalty.
Antimonarchists in the comments are on hard copium
lol everyone cheering for this kinda shit is an idiot
Good for him?
Love to see my humble and in-touch monarchs from the Nordic countries be celebrated for the great representatives and role models that they are rather than some president that puts all his effort into polarizing, scandalous and corrupt behaviour.
Redditors for some reason prefer a president they didn’t vote for that can act however he wants without repercussion and doesn’t have a legacy to tend to.
I cannot understand the coping anti-monarchist redditos do when the alternative is proves so much worse.
Kingdoms are nonsense. Royalty is nonsense.
I hate royals. The most ridiculous concept. Glad some parts of the world got over it.
Yikes. So lame.
Most of the comments here seems to show very limited knowledge of the Scandinavian monarchs. It’s not like in the UK, and they have only ceremonial roles. They unify most of us, and are mostly great role models.
Happy birthday, Prince!
Best wishes on the occasion, Denmark!
Gratulations from Luxembourg!
To all the coping republicans: Look up the form of gouvernment of the most democratic and stable countries on the globe and then look at the bottom of the list. There is nothing easier to userp then a republic.

Ok. So?
[Danish support being a monarchy is 76% currently, with the support for abandoning the monarch at 17%](https://underholdning.tv2.dk/2022-12-28-efter-et-af-de-vaerste-aar-danskerne-bakker-stadig-op-om-dronningen). The monarch is overwhelmingly popular and has continued to be so throughout Denmark’s history. To all the people deriding the Danish monarchy in this thread, if you aren’t Danish, your opinion doesn’t matter.
I am glad that people are able to enjoy themselves and I hope the prince is able to enjoy both is public and private birthday celebrations.
The sentence „he‘ll greet the people“ is super weird in the 21st century.
I‘m so glad I don‘t live in a monarchy
Its news like that that make me thankfull that we got rid of the Kaiser and all the fucking Kings and dukes in germany. Imagine 15 royal marriages in a single year
Royals, a plague of past times that still haunts us. People defending royalty while that same royalty would subdue them if they could.
Nono.. Not the Scandinavian monarchs. they would never xd
So, this is what the people of Denmark pay their taxes for.
