It’s not just Trump saying that, it’s a wide spread Republican talking point. It’s going to be another Republican zombie lie that won’t die. Republicans will all be saying this on the campaign trail, it won’t matter how many times it gets knocked down. (when confronted they’ve already shown they will fall back on the old money is fungible canard).
Trump was wrong about where that terrorist money came from. He just lost my vote. You would think, if you are going to stop terrorism in the world, you should know how these terrorist countries are getting their money. Thank you for posting this fact checker. We all know Trump was wrong. Trump should have said Biden negotiated with terrorists in the hostage exchange, which freed up frozen bank money to the terrorist nation.
Well. To be fair, in 1953 some US tax dollars went to Iran, thanks to the CIA.

US tax dollars went to Israel, run by Netanyahu, so, yeah, uhm, some may have been used to sponsor Hamas over the years.
This fact check is addressing the wrong set of facts. They should be talking about the Biden admin’s restarting of foreign aid to Palestine, not the $6B seized from Korea.
I don’t know whether that aid helped Hamas – although the state department said at the time it could – so it would be good see a fact check by someone that *doesn’t* have their head up their ass and actually addresses the issue.
