Independence is over. They had their vote and lost it.
Scotland isn’t remotely economically viable without England’s money. That’s just a fact.
The good news is they have another 40 years to work to change that before the next referendum.
They could start by cancelling the Barnet formula and returning the surplus money. They then need to work to grow their private sector because they can’t find the current size of their public sector.
This is the age of opportunity for Scotland, but they have a huge amount of work to do and 40 years is not a lot of time to do it.
