He is a hero, he chose to stay and help others when his death was almost guaranteed.
The sad part is he likely knew he didn’t have a chance to reason with them anyway, but he still stayed to help others. He definitely deserves that hero title.

What a tragic loss of a wonderful person. It’s a shame he really thought that he could reason with the unreasonable.

At the end we are all the same… Doesn’t depend what we are believing into or which culture we like to live in! Between the radicals (in this case radical hamas and the radical israeli part) are the people without any voice, who just like to live in peace and these ones are the ones who have to suffer most…
Could have chosen to flee – instead stayed and attempted to save lives.
