Remember those horrible road safety ads of the 2000s, that we still have PTSD from as a nation? We need a similar ad campaign for these. E.g. DODGY BOXES CAN KILL – CAN YOU LIVE WITH THE SHAME and so on.
They realised that threatening you with the punishment for ‘criminal’ activity was a completely ineffective joke to most people, as was the threat that piracy funded terrorism and other crimes, so have now moved on to the laughable idea that piracy will cause you to become a victim of fraud, as if you’re some kid on limewire downloading linkin_park.exe

Those bogey streaming sites can infect your laptop etc with malware that will take over your browsers and copy any info you might be putting in. Like your bank details if you login your banks account details and check account online. The fake ‘yahoo’ virus that takes over google/chrome on a laptop a good example.
