The little salad they throw in when you order a curry

  1. If you eat it we can landmark this post as the first ever person to do so

  2. I love this, especially if I’ve ordered a side of onion bajis or samosas.

  3. I’ve never seen it in a little box. It’s normally a little bag that I just chuck straight in the bin.

  4. If you don’t imediately throw it out then it goes really bad in like 4 hours. I really would prefer that they just didn’t include it.

  5. Does anyone ever actually eat these? They could save a few pennies and not bother

  6. Put it in a white plastic bag no larger than the size of that box, and leave it in the sun for 4 days, then it will look like the salad bags you get from all of the different places round here I’ve tried.

  7. I mix the salad in with the curry. It gives it a nice crunch.

  8. I normally give it my guinea pigs, and then I don’t have to feel guilty when I say “we” ordered a curry 😉

  9. Ours is pretty posh compared with that sorry effort. Full size foil container. The usual trinity of lettuce/tomato/cucumber, some lemon then pomegranate seeds and chilli sauce.

It’s not bad, but still goes straight in the bin.

  10. The salad, a squeeze of the lemon, extra raw onion, raita, hot sauce and chicken tikka in naan the next day. Chef’s kiss.
