I feel like telling a country that was just invaded and saw its citizens murdered not to occupy the base of the invader might be somewhat less than effective.
Just like Biden opposed the US occupying Afghanistan after 9/11. Oh wait, no he didn’t.
Glad to see he’s drawing a line here. Netanyahu doesn’t just want to occupy Gaza, he seeking to erase Gaza entirely. Which was his goal in the first place. It’s why he provoked the Hamas attack by first attacking their mosques with no valid reason.
This is the same tactic Ariel Sharon used in September of 2000 when 1000 armed troops rolled up on mosque. Which was immediately followed by years of bloodshed.
A bigger mistake would be to allow for a power vacuum. So unless Fatah can swoop in and stabilize the situation, Israel ain’t leaving.

calling it a reoccupation in itself is garbage. the jewish only have their religious texts claiming they belong there… it is a holy war/genocide. everyone knows who are not the bad guys here and it isn’t the jewish.
Honestly I’m torn on this. I know the invasion will be brutal for both sides, however at this point it’s obvious the terrorist group Hamas needs to be dealt with and put down for good. Only way that can be done is with a ground offensive
Best case scenario imo is Israel invades, takes out Hamas, allows Fatah to assert governance over the region and then pulls out following negotiations including the recognition of Palestine. Saudi’s recognize Israel and everyone in the Middle East teams up against Iran
Hopefully that’s not all fantasy
Wonder if he’s read anything about what’s been going on for 15 years
Maybe, just maybe, he’s playing 4D chess so the Republicans get totally pissed off and call on Israel to completely wipe Hamas and Gaza out?
