  1. Venmondo is vegetarian brand that has many vegan products. The vegan products have a yellow v shaped mark

And yes, it contains milk based whey and cheese powder

  2. Thanks for the warning because I’m allergic to milk, so I now know to avoid that Lidl hummus. This has been a big problem whenever companies try to cut corners and save costs by stuffing powdered milk, milk hera or cheese powder everywhere.

  3. You can download the app Vegaaniskanneri where you can scan the barcode of the product and it tells you if it’s suitable for vegans (you can also change the diet to vegetarian or ask it to avoid certain ingredients like palm oil). The app also works in English.

  4. I think the brand has vegetarian and vegan products. Vegan products have a vegan sign.

  5. I think this contains milk protein (hera etc), some non-dairy products and vegan labelled do, I find it very confusing, esp since people allergic to milk are often specificly allergic to milk protein.

Milk is most likely to gain viscosity – during WWII, when the englush had limited access to oil, they made glue like substance from milk in order to construct spitfire fighter planes. So thats milk for you.
