Final muscle movement, i think once a grenade goes off in your face you wont notice much if anything at all, and even if then there is no way back anyway.
I don’t think that’s a fail. Most grenade kills aren’t instant, grenades when they explode cause massive internal organ damage sometimes liquifying them, and there’s also the shrapnel that fires out from them like little bullets that pepper you and your internals, so you bleed out.
Suicide by grenade seems to be one of the few things that the Russians actually train for
