They should just own it. If you don’t know the score by now with Republicans you’ll be oblivious even if they say the quiet part loud in a Nazi SS uniform.
Religion is dying as people find ways to advance their brain activity/development and it will die in terms of relevancy before even 2040, and I am violently excited to see these sad little pp men wallow in self pity as they watch everything they destroyed be rebuilt 10x stronger.
I certainly hope these Republicans are working just as hard to ban Viagra! If a man can’t get it going, he shouldn’t have any chemical help. That is “God’s way” (/s) of telling him to keep it in his pants!
>Meet New Jersey state Sen. Edward Durr, a truck driver-turned-politician who has a habit of saying the quiet parts out loud.
>
>”A woman does have a choice! Keep her legs closed,” Durr wrote in a 2020 Facebook post, in which he also called a pro-choice woman an “idiot.” He also “liked” a post that called for “spaying women like dogs.”
Charming…
I wonder how many conservative women mindlessly voted for this goober just because he had an (R) next to his name on the ballot.
I can’t fathom the cognitive dissonance of someone like Nancy Mace.
I assume they want women to follow the bible and marry their rapists also?
“Castrate all conservatives” Is my response to that. Why are old white men so concerned about our vaginas? Because they fear the loss of the patriarchy. Fragility on display.
Mean while GOP politicians are caught having affairs, forcing mistress to have abortions, sexually harassing them in office.
“We are on a winning trajectory…It may be that the day will come when people say the birth-control pill was a mistake.”
You got absolutely face punched in all 6 of your anti-abortion state ballot initiatives in deep red states by 65-35 margins or worse
Why aren’t you doing more of them?
You’re on such a winning trajectory!
I was told once that people should either die or birth a kid if they had sex. Even if the sex was not consensual.

I remember telling a friend after SCOTUS overturned Roe v Wade, and reading the conservative justices’ opinion, that they’ll come after birth control next. I have no doubt this is a goal of the ultra conservatives in this country.
These are the people who say they are “pro-life“ but put women’s lives in jeopardy with maternal emergencies and make women carry a non-viable fetus to term, putting the mother’s life at risk. That our country has such a high maternal mortality rate is an embarrassment.
These are the people who have threatened doctors, causing doctors to leave conservative areas, putting more womens’ lives at risk. There are now conservative areas of our country where women need to drive an extended period of time to a maternity ward. This is unacceptable in America touted as the most powerful country in the world.
Conservatives are simply hell-bent on taking away peoples’ rights.
Republicans are textbook incels – they want to punish all women who don’t want to have sex with them.
I’m glad religion is dying. Too many shitty people use it as a shield to be a terrible person.
“Lots of pseudo-compassionate noises about women’s pain, while insisting that their sadistic impulses are “pro-life.”
Yep, paternalism from people who *very much know* what paternalism is, but hope you don’t.
But hey, at least they aren’t using it exclusively for young children/black people anymore, so small favors?

Relentless dishonesty and pseudo-compassionate noise about women’s pain, while insisting that their sadistic impulses are “pro-life.” The Republicans pretend to support exceptions, rebrand their agenda as “pro-baby” and feign support for contraception access while supporting organizations that actively work to demolish viable birth control.
“Spaying women like dog”
Yet they keep telling us that the US brith rate isn’t keeping up. And when women without children request it some of them are getting pushback because their husbands might want some. The GOP and their backers are just nuts.
Fuck republicans.
Just, er, not literally.
No, they want more poor babies.
When I was a teenager, my high school in rural Canada had an explosion in teen pregnancies (as a young fan of Dungeons and Dragons, this was nothing to do with me). There was a school assembly about a proposal to open an on-campus daycare in an unused classroom. Some hick kid yelled out “keep your legs closed” and caught a suspension for it. So congrats, Republican party, you’re on the same level of some teenager in rural Canada thirty years ago.
Absolutely agree. This is exactly what Republicans are doing. And anyone voting for a Republican is voting against their own sexual and reproductive freedom.
*choice is before the panties slide off*
There’s a sub that challenges this notion.
In the same breath that they have been fighting to restrict abortions, they’ve also been fighting to restrict comprehensive sex education [which reduces unwanted pregnancies] and fighting to restrict birth control [which reduces unwanted pregnancies].
It’s not that they don’t want voters to figure it out, I can tell you as a former member of that particular base that it’s a goal that was just left unsaid until the current movement, it’s that they want to muddy the waters and keep the argument on ‘well abortion is murder’. They don’t want you arguing that their religion shouldn’t dictate how everyone lives their lives.
To them, sex is a sin. They don’t want you learning about how to have sex while minimizing the risk of an unwanted pregnancy, and they don’t want you having access to the means to reduce those consequences. That’s also why they were lackluster on the AIDS epidemic: to them it’s a consequence to sin, and if you sinned you deserve every consequence.

I started reading that article expecting Yikes, but it got even *more* Yikes the further I kept reading.
> In a 2021 Supreme Court brief … Mitchell wrote, “Women can ‘control their reproductive lives’ without access to abortion; they can do so by refraining from sexual intercourse.” He condemned pro-choice court decisions for accepting the view that “women (and men) should have the right to freely engage to sexual intercourse.”
> Mitchell included that parenthetical “and men” to put a pseudo-egalitarian gloss on this puritanical crackdown, but his actual behavior suggests he’s a big fan of the sexual double standard, or worse. Right now, he’s representing a man named Marcus Silva, who is using the Texas abortion ban to sue friends of his former wife, apparently because they helped her leave him. Court filings suggest that Silva threatened to report his wife to police for having an abortion if she didn’t submit to him “mind, body and soul.” **Other documents indicate that Silva tried to coerce her into having sex with him and doing his laundry, saying he’d drop the lawsuit in exchange.**

Such a discontinuity in their “logic.”
Women should be punished for having sex, but incels, alpha males, and the like are “owed” sex.
But if women are punished for having sex, who are they supposed to be having sex with? Each other?
It’s long been said that the “pro-life” movement is actually an “anti-sex” movement. That “recreational” sex is seen as a sinful evil and that sex should only be for reproduction. Unwanted children are the “wages of sin”….
Meanwhile incels : “why is no woman wants to have sex with me?”
Meanwhile, conservative men are screaming because women are putting “no Republicans” on their Tinder profiles.
Yeah, women don’t want to bang people who don’t respect their most basic freedoms.
Abortion and birth control bans create more poor uneducsted children. Poor, uneducated children grow up to vote republican. It’s as simple as that.
