All the people saying “WHY EGYPT NO HELP”, this is why. Everything that Egypt does regarding Gaza has to be green-lit by Israel. People cannot cross into Egypt without Israel’s approval. The ball is in Israel’s court.
>The crossing has been closed since it was hit by IAF airstrikes on Tuesday afternoon, after Israel declared that no food or fuel would be allowed into the Strip in an effort to implement a complete blockade to isolate Hamas. The IAF said it bombed the crossing as it was targeting an underground smuggling tunnel.

Hamas blocks citizens from evacuating and uses them as human shields. Israel does what it can to minimize civilian casualties. Planes drop pamphlets telling them where to evacuate before they bomb an area. Heavily concentrated areas are given time to evacuate, or sometimes left out entirely even though it endangers Israel.
But please keep in mind.
Hamas spent more than a year preparing the attack. Practiced village raids. How to kidnap people. Starting fires so people would choke inside shelters. And yet they didn’t figure out population control? How to protect their own people???
Israel is currently a ghost town, roads are empty and ordinary life is in halt because of the war. It’s not a terrorist termination operation overseas, it’s an ongoing full scale war. Families don’t have income, prices rise, society doesn’t function.
Expecting Israel to be more responsible for Gaza’s population more than **it’s own government** in a time of **war**, is not only unrealistic but also completely naive. Any **civilians death are on Hamas only.**
Is there a way for Israel to inspect the aid to ensure it doesn’t include weapons or ammunition? Given that it’s declared as a war, the procedures work differently now. There have been incidents where military aid disguised as humanitarian aid has crossed over from Egypt to Gaza.
People here are blind, they are not even blaming Israel for this.

“There is currently no truce and humanitarian aid in Gaza in exchange for getting foreigners out. a statement from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said.
Hamas official Izzat El-Reshiq told Reuters the same”
Edit: Apparently this was a different humanitarian aid they stole.
Didn‘t they already annouce that, this time, there really is a blockade on gaza (contrary to before the attacks).
I don‘t think they care, nor does egypt (they could just open the borders and give the refugees help… come on)
When any muslim country will mention the lives of those kidnapped, and work to free them, maybe we could see more than just a pathetic attempt at making israel look evil
Egypt and Hamas control the crossing, yet Israel is being falsely blamed.
Often aid for the Palestinians is diverted to the terrorists. An example is the Palestinian Authority funding the “Slay4Pay” program.
Here’s the situation:
* The US wants the border crossing open in a limited capacity to allow US nationals out, among other things
* Israel wants the Red Cross to have access to the hostages in Gaza, at a minimum
* Hamas wants bombing to stop completely before it allows any access to the hostages
I think it’s very unlikely that Hamas will allow the red cross to access the hostages, or that Israel will agree not to bomb Hamas… which means neither of the combatants here is agreeing to what the US wants.
Wonder what the apartheid regime supporters will say for this now
It’s a border between Gaza and Egypt why do they need Israel’s permission to open it
Egypt said that Israel was not cooperating with delivery of aid into Gaza and evacuations of foreign passport holders via the only entry it does not wholly control, leaving hundreds of tons of supplies stuck.
Cairo says the Rafah crossing, a potentially vital opening for desperately needed supplies into the besieged Palestinian enclave, is not officially closed but is inoperable due to Israeli air strikes on the Gaza side.
Two Egyptian security sources had told Reuters a ceasefire in southern Gaza to last several hours had been agreed for Monday morning to facilitate aid and evacuations at Rafah.
However, Israel denied that.

You can’t blockade an area if you let shit through. Do you think that Hamas will just hand the aid out to the citizens of Gaza? They are going to snatch that shit up and use it for themselves. That aid is never going to go to the people it was intended to help. If they let aid in there, it is going to be used by Hamas.
Israel should push Gaza right into Egypt or the sea.
It’s simple: they just need to release the hostages
Gazan hospitals are quite literally on the brink of collapse, if aid doesn’t get through soon fatalities with increase very fast
If hamas and the Israeli government could stop their shit that would be lovely

Edit: To anyone doubting that Israel is not bombing Rafah crossing, here’s [a statement from the Israeli Air Force](https://www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog_entry/egypt-urges-israel-to-stop-bombing-rafah-crossing-to-allow-aid-delivery/)
