  1. How soon until he breaks the gag order? My guess is sometime today with a Truth Social post.

  2. Have been eagerly awaiting this one. Finally, a gag order that matters, and one Trump will probably violate in less than 48 hours. Can’t wait to see where this goes.

  3. I hope they included his flying monkeys in the gag order. When he can’t do it himself, he’ll threaten by proxy.

  4. Finally a judge has stepped up to put a lid on his inflammatory rhetoric (if it could even be described as that).

No other person being prosecuted in this country would be able to get away with the threats and taunts without being hit with an obstruction of justice charge….

  5. Doesn’t mean anything unless it’s enforced.
What will happen if he breaks the gag order? Another warning by the judge? Hopefully, for the judge, this dog bites!

  6. When he violates this order how soon will he be waiting in a holding cell? Laws without enforcement are just words on paper.

  7. For what it’s worth, this is a fairly narrow order: he cannot mention by name or title the judge, court staff, witnesses, or the prosecution staff. He can continue to shit on the DOJ and Washington DC.

Basically, the judge is telling Trump to hold his tongue but only a little. I think she* knows as well as the rest of us that he won’t be able to.

^(EDIT: fixed a space in the wrong place: “I thinks he” -> “I think she”)

  8. This order is only as good as the judge’s willingness to enforce it. Trump is going to violate it. That’s pretty much guaranteed. Then what will the judge do?

  9. I don’t follow him on his social medias but I assume he’s already broken the gag order, if not he will do it before the sun sets today.

  10. I have doubts it will be enforced he violates his other orders by the day

  11. The Judge needs to say this loud and clear… to Trump.

**”The American People ARE NOT on Trial, You Are Mr. Trump,** and it will not help your personal individual case to try and make your case about The People. This cases is based on your own acts and actions. Do Not bring your Deflection and Games into this court rooms and do not stand in this court room or have your attorney’s try and misrepresent this case, This case is about “you”. any further aims and attempts to try and misrepresent this case as being against the people, will be met with a charge of contempt for this court. You and your attorney’s will be placed under arrest for contempt of court.

Trump has some delusion that he is more than just a Citizen…. his ass need to be slapped into place to make him understand, that he is nothing but a citizen who tries to hide behind being a Candidate, when being a Candidate does not provide any special favor or privilege’s to anyone. It is no more than a Citizen who is seeking office, period. ask him and make him answer… **Do you understand Mr. Trump??!!!**

  12. >For Trump, it’s one of the first tangible consequences of his multiple brushes with the criminal justice system, in this case on four felony charges related to his effort to subvert the 2020 election. Chutkan has scheduled Trump’s trial to begin on March 4 and emphasized Monday that the date would not change.

    This is not a consequence.

A consequence would be holding him accountable for the time he has already done the thing anyone knows you shouldn’t do. This is just telling him, again, _do this thing one more time and we’ll do something. We mean it this time!_

He has been basically told that all his life. Nearly nobody has shown him consequences yet.

  13. If anyone deserves a gag order … As Valley Girl once said, every time I hear this guy, it’s like, gag me with a spoon.

  14. Imagine the aneurism he’ll have if she sanctions him with no social media!

  15. Finally? Like, this guy has pushed the gag me button like a hundred times. No one can argue that the courts haven’t been lenient.

  16. How about holding people are accountable for their actions for once. /s

  17. This gag order wouldn’t be a problem to a politician who stuck to speaking about policy and how he’s going to make America better, but his campaign doesn’t do that, it’s just grievance politics and revenge fantasies.

  18. I think we should let him say whatever he wants from behind bars under the supervision of his various boyfriends.

  19. But will they enforce it when he inevitably breaks the rule?

  20. Twitter/X just suddenly started sending me push notifications for Trump Posts and a bunch of GOP crap that I’ve never had interest in….Musk at work.

  21. And he won’t follow it. I hope he defies another judge. And gets another charge.

  22. >Lauro said early in the hearing that Trump would immediately appeal any order similar to the one prosecutors had requested.

Why TF do idiots keep making this argument?

Bgd, it’s your right to appeal

It’s not the judges duty to hear that appeal

Even if it was, everything that happens in court is done so through a written motion

It essentially just says “fuck you judge”, something you shouldn’t really do, since they are the 1 person at a trial there to protect your rights.

Put in a motion, it’ll be heard. Anything else is a waste of breath.

  23. > She said she would consider “sanctions” if she observes any violations. She did not elaborate on those sanctions, although she said she planned to issue a written order with further details

House arrest. No internet. Bing bang boom.

  24. So it’s been 2 hours since it was posted – has he violated it yet?

  25. I’m expecting Trump to comply with the gag order – which in the long run is actually worse for him because it will show that he does have a level of self awareness and that he does think about the garbage uttering forth from his hamberder hole. It will be significant evidence that he is aware of the effect of his words and he is able to filter out harmful speech i.e. if he’s able to comply with the gag order now why wouldn’t he have been able to control his speech leading up to and on Jan 6?

  26. Judge would literally have to put a ball gag in Trumpy’s mouth to shut him up.

  27. Does this EVER get to the point where they have the power/authority/balls to arrest him for ignoring the gag order? Because he will always ignore them, always has, and he never really has any significant consequences.

  28. He will push it until he gets a night in jail. He knows it will be worth millions in donations from his hayseed followers.

Donald Trump has one consistent trait. He will do anything for money. He doesn’t care if it debases him if it pays well.

He also knows he has no legal pathway to avoid all of the charges against him, only a political one. So pissing off the judge also doesnt matter to him.

  29. > pretrial incarceration

    🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

  30. It’s always alarming how fast the diaper brigade gets in an uproar over standard procedure. Trump has been treated too well for behavior. I worry about the terrorist attacks we will see if/when there’s a guilty verdict
