Shops should simply have a policy of ‘no mask-no service’, even if the unmasked customer has filled the trolley or basket and pitched up at the tills. If enough businesses were prepared to put up with the initial hassle then soon enough there’d be far more masking…

A few months ago I was going to my local supervalu and a guy was having a huge hissy fit outside of the shop speaking to the manager and the guards. He was thrown out for not wearing a mask and was telling them “you wouldn’t kick someone out for being gay or for being black”.
Wtf these people are so dense.
That’s a lot of effort to go to, just to show people what a selfish jackass you are.
I couldn’t understand the up roar of 12 year olds having to wear them. A 12 year old is more than capable of wearing them. I had one guy saying to me “try wearing one for a few hours.” A few hours is nothing I actually wear one for ten hours five times a week at work. Lol
Fucking idiot, I hope he has to pay all the court costs.

Just in the last week, I’ve seen a trio of maskless fucktards in a Lidl in Walkinstown (one male gobshite – dressed head-to-toe in East 17-calibre grey trackie – and two pleasant girls – apparently with him for the lift in his D17) plus a maskless and brainless woman pushing a child in a buggy in a Nutgrove store. These places are missing the big, east-Euro security lads of pre-pandemic days and stiffer, mandatory penalties. If you can’t or won’t wear a mask in a public, indoor area, you’ve excused your right to be there.
No shirt, no shoes, no mask, no service.
Trying to be clever, failing miserably.
I work in dunnes. At the start there was one guy we asked to leave because he had no mask, Gardai called aswell as he refused.. came back the next day with a big gas mask, like a WW2 one trying to make a point. We completely ignored him so he kept coming in and out trying to make a point. We have far more important things to deal with then a fragile antimaskers feels.
Some people want to believe they are oppressed so badly as it explains how brilliant geniuses like them never got to success they feel they are owed by society.
I’d love to meet the Solicitor who took this case on. Discrimination in this country falls under the 9 grounds, none of which involves mask wearing. Whoever decided this case should be taken to court is a fucking loon.
If self-entitlement is a disability, he has it.

I’d ask you to be sort of alright about some people. I have fairly bad asthma, and need to move it sometimes as I get short of breath. I can also run very fast and do lots of sport so I’m not sure why masks are worse but I just lift mine, take a few deep breaths and leave it again. These cunts are just cunts.

Couple of guys came into the petrol station I work in today. Neither wearing masks. They were getting served at the Subway and I could hear one of them coughing away. When they were done at the Subway and started heading towards my till, I saw that the one coughing wasn’t covering his mouth.
Told them I wasn’t going to serve them: they should be wearing masks, and they should be covering their mouth when they cough. They started hurling abuse at me, calling me a scumbag, and saying they’d kick the shit out of me and spit on me if they saw me outside.
One of them put on a mask just long enough for me to ring through two bottles of coke, then immediately threw it on the chocolate bars in front of the counter(like I fucking knew he would). I told them they were both barred, and I wouldn’t serve them again.
One of them took out their phone, asking my name & challenging me to say they were barred again, and why, and saying they were going to call the guards. I gave my name to their camera, and explained out loud why they were barred. They left eventually after tiring themselves out.
The guards never showed. The pointless belligerence of it all is fucking exhausting.
