Two wounded by a machete in the middle of the street in Mataró: the Mossos dismiss terrorist motivations
The Mossos d’Esquadra (catalan police) are extremely alert to the escalation of violence unleashed by Hamas in Israel and to the consequences that this conflict in the Middle East may also have on our home. This weekend, he stirs up in Mataró, in the capital of Maresme. The events began around 8 pm when Moroccan men went down the street chasing people, without any apparent criteria, armed with a machete and as he ravaged vehicles that were parked on the road. Witnesses claimed that the man was making calls and injured two people, who had arm cuts. He was eventually arrested by agents of the Mossos and also of the Local Police of Mataró.

The two wounded, who are not worried for their lives, told the police station that the man who had attacked them had “clear intentions to kill them” and that they had clearly heard that during the attack, they had made terrorist proclamations. The detainee is currently accused, according to Catalan police sources, of two crimes of attempted murder.
