IATSE is going to have so many AI demands.
Hollywood should know I and many people like me will not watch AI developed content. Just like many refuse to take the driverless cars anywhere.
we cannot replace people at every point without a plan to ensure people have jobs or some form of minimum guaranteed income. what good will all of this be if no one can afford to consume the AI services?
i’m a mid level director in tech. i should be doing very well… and i’m cutting WAY back on my disposable income purchases because everything is so expensive. if i am not alone in this predicament, then the economy will slow, then the ultra rich buy up more of the economy thus hurting competition, thus raising prices, thus destroying the middle class until we are left with very few ultra rich people hidden away in heavily protected places and the rest of us poor fighting for scraps.
that does not sound like a world I want.
social media was supposed to make communication easier and better for everybody. how did that work?
blockchain and cryptocurrency was going to change the paradigm of money. how did that work out?
i’m just saying that maybe we shouldn’t be listening to tech anymore about what we need next. because the leaders of tech organizations are only trying to become part of the ultra rich and will say and do anything to get there.
not saying maybe we need to warm up the guillotines, but maybe we do.
I’m at the age where probably things aren’t going to get really really bad until I’m gone so don’t listen to me.
