Honestly I’m surprised Russia has been able to keep their helicopters alive this long while using them as aggressively as they have up until now. Helicopters are slow so they are hit by a lot more anti-air, they don’t have armor and their range isn’t that great which is why Ukraine was able to destroy nine of them at an airfield. They have their uses but they are basically the HMMWVs of the air except a lot more expensive.
