If the governing party (Hamas) is putting civilians in front of military targets, then Hamas is to blame if they die.
This whole “Israel can defend itself but not if anyone else gets hurt” is a bullshit standard that doesn’t apply to any other country forced to defend itself. Certainly wouldn’t have applied to the Allies in WWII, because holding them to that standard would’ve meant letting germany/japan lay waste to everything and never responding.
Ask yourself this: If your crazed neighbor attacked you and your family with his own child strapped to his chest, would you just let him slaughter everyone because defending yourself and your family from him may hurt the child–or would you fight back?
Probably don’t need to invade if they can just kill every identifiable militant or extremist in Gaza like this.

they have two choices for an end game, either declare gaza a war zone and order vacation. Order all residents to leave. It will be cut out from food, water, and travel or even complete demolition. That would be the sure way to force all the terror out of the area. Or they take out as many hamas members as they can find. Then the IDF takes a governing role to ensure terrorist groups won’t come back. Those are the two options, a palestinian authority in gaza is not tenable. There’s no palestine opposition that can replace hamas. Nor do you really want them to go back to self governing. It means they could go back to creating missiles. They have to be demilitarized, and not allowed to re-create a military.
