Unfortunately her being strongly against something is probably enough to convince many in the GOP to vote for it.
There’s no reason to hope for or expect anything reasonable or decent to happen.
I like the idea of the dems being able to run ads against every Republican in a purple district that supports Jordan. Go ahead Republicans, it is your majority.

How come they are all terrified to even mention Jim Jordan covering up the sexual abuse of student-athletes at Ohio State University? Shouldn’t that be the first reason not to vote for this a*shole? All the other stuff in my mind pales in comparison.

A speaker’s personnel political philosophy has nothing to do with their inability to lead and conduct business.
I’m more curious how Jordan will give up his committee leadership role since I believe that’s his true passion.
This is smart on her part. Other commenter are right this won’t change any house members votes, but it does set up early in the mind of New York voters that this is what 2024 will truly be about for them.
Dems don’t have the votes to do that. He’ll likely win it.

As horrifying as a national ban on abortion would be…it pales in comparison to *the attempted overthrow of the government*. Both of these things are awful, but one of them is a a horseapple in the road and the other is a giant pool of fermenting sewage: they don’t belong in the same argument.
Anyone who had voted to overturn the most secure election in american history should’ve been kicked out of office.
The vast majority of House Republicans voted to overturn the 2020 election. Gym is not exceptional in that regard.

Jim Jordan was always the likely candidate…they should have thought about that when they ousted mccarthy. I’m no fan of McCarthy but he was always the lessor of two evils.
