Republicans are on the verge of electing a speaker who’s never passed a bill during his 16 years in Congress

  1. 16 years…term limits anyone? Getting harder and harder to vote them out…..particularly when they are planning to reject the vote and say participate in a coup to keep people in power.

  2. The GOP should change the name of their party to LIMBO, as there’s no low bar that they won’t go under.

  3. I wonder if I could go 16 years at any given job without doing anything? It’s a great gravestone though. “Feckless Gym Jordan, he did nothing for nobody”

  4. Are these the same ppl that get on TV and talk about how Biden hasn’t done anything for the ppl in 40 years?

  5. Perfect poster boy for the corrupt, do nothing, insurrectionist republicans.

  6. I can’t express enough just how much I DON’T want Gym Jordan to be anywhere near the line of succession. This guy deserves to be in jail, not 3rd in line to the president.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don’t let this piece of SHIT win!

  7. …and who tried to overturn a legitimate election.

  8. Well, Jordan is flaming out on the first ballot…perhaps there’s yet one collective brain cell among the House GOP.

  9. Its moments like these when you realize that the deck is systemically built against people who want change. Because there will always, always, always be a huge swath of people who are uncomfortable with change and will always support “going back to the way things were”. If you never ever pass laws or take a stance on anything, nothing changes and people can feel comfortable in their ignorant bliss.

  10. Like electing a game show host who speaks at a literal 4th grade level and couldn’t read a single daily briefing.

  11. He’s also an insurrectionist and protector of corruption.

  12. This is the new brand for the GOP.

    1. Convince voters that government doesn’t work
    2. Get elected
    3. Don’t work
    4. “See I told you government doesn’t work!”
    5. Profit
    6. Back to step one

In 2007, he would have made $165,200 in a full year as a Representative. In 2008*, he made $169,300. Since 2009, the salary for an elected representative has stayed at $174,000. By the end of this year, Jim will have made $2,770,500 never once passing a bill.

Congress is the greatest get-rich-quick scheme in history.

    *edit

  13. Not passing any legislation in any form is the Republican model, so I’d say he’s par for the course

  14. He is there to obstruct and burn the place down so come next election they can blame Biden when things go to shit. I mean he is basically a Trump stooge.

  15. Never having passed a bill is pretty far down the list of reasons why this election denier shouldn’t be Speaker

  16. The GOP are agitators, not policy initiators. While Dems do the work of drafting bills, the GOP denies any that have to do with American workers and aggressively affirms bills for business and elite.

  17. Jim Jordan only has 2 tactics: Lies and false righteousness. Nothing else. Zero patriotism. Zero tlrespect for reality and truth. Zero belief in the American people. Zero concern about our Constitution. All selfishness and political scheming, including lots of law breaking.

  18. He’s just going to burn the house down and look at us straight faced and blame the democrats
