Simply put, circular economy is an economic model aimed at reducing waste and promoting sustainability by keeping products, materials, and resources in use for as long as possible through recycling, upcycling, and minimizing waste generation. Lithuania has shown promise in embracing this model. In 2021, Lithuania recycled around 70% of its packaging waste, surpassing the EU target of 55%. The country also has a growing [sustainable packaging](https://viapromo.co.uk/sustainable-box-and-paper-bag-manufacturer/) industry with companies focused on eco-friendly materials and printing. With the right policies and investments, Lithuania has the potential to flourish in the circular economy, benefiting its environment and economy simultaneously.

Do you think otherwise? I’d like to know.

  1. I wish they finaly would start recycling used coffee grounds and spread it across the streets rather than salt.

  2. Bottle reverse vending system is sort of amazing. I remember in past seeing bottles everywhere as trash, but now since you can get money for returning those bottles, folk just collect bottles for return of the money. Environment is clean and some folk get money for cleaning environment.

  3. Well, second hand market is big. Sadly its mainly for women/children. I blame cheap manufacturers who sell their crap for not so cheap for that. Building material reuse also exists.

Many frugal people here find ways to reduce expenses, so they reuse anything they can.
