  1. Ok, but in fairness, the degenerate buffoon is a fucking loser.

  2. Strong arming the GOP doesn’t always work when you are a lightweight

  3. It shows how poor gym would be as speaker if he can’t even lock in a number for his own party’s vote. Absolute shit show from a real shithead

  4. It’s not a vote he should have lost, it’s his freedom. Despicable man.

  5. McCarthy still going off on how this is Dems fault. Unbelievable.

  6. Honestly its as grossly fascinating as watching as watching someone lose an ass kicking contest to a one legged man.

  7. I’m experiencing a lot of schadenfreude right now.

  8. Good! He has no place in a leadership position let alone in Congress.

  9. This is just vote number one correct? How many votes will he call until he has enough?
He knows he has no proof on Biden but 18 months later he yells at the top of his lungs Biden is guilty.

  10. Fake news. He won it fair and square. It was stolen from him.

  11. While the US media is focused on the GOP trying to elect a new Speaker of the House, Israel just bombed a hospital in Gaza with reportedly over 500 people killed already.

Free Palestine. End the occupation. Ceasefire now.

  12. Good. May it get even wider every time.

The moderate Republican holdouts should grow a spine and either switch parties or become independent.

  13. So how many votes can they actually do? Honest question. Let’s say we’re at number 27 on voting for Jordan and it’s pretty obvious at this point he’s not going to pass. Do they just get to keep voting for him until the next elections? Every day a stalemate of no policy making?

  14. Everyone has moments where they think no one likes them.

    This guy has proof.

  15. Jordan fails the first rule of being speaker, don’t call a vote unless you have the votes to pass.

  16. lol. It was reported there was 20 people prepared not to vote for him and. Crazy. 20 is the number. That’s not wider than usual. Or even less. Seems exactly the number.

  17. One by one, the Republican candidate keeps losing elections where they’re the only one running.

  18. Well, that’s a surprise, but at least he’s expanding his horizons, right?

  19. and the great idea was to make the whole summer and autumn offensive pass before helping them ?

I swear everything about this war seams designed only to drain Russia in an infinite war rather than beating them

  20. I’m sure this could be abused but there should be a system in place where if the majority party can’t reach a consensus the plurality becomes de facto speaker until otherwise, at least for the sake of continuing basic functions. The idea that the whole House can’t function until a Speaker is chosen is archaic and stupid.

  21. If republicans are serious people they will work with democrats like adults.

  22. So with McCarthy he had to cut a deal with the far right to get the gavel

    This is the inverse

Jordan will have to cut a deal with the near right republicans to get the gavel… some of whom I’m hopeful still have a few shreds of ethics left given their objections to Jordan have centered around his role in 1/6, his founding of the Freedom Caucus (ie: very far right rabble rousing, do nothing embarrassments to this country) and his complete failure as a legislator in the routine of running the country

Still, I think it would be a win for the DEMs to have Jordan elected. He’s so damn aggressively stupid and confrontational that he’d have the party in shambles within moments.

He’s also a piss poor fund raiser and is a caricature of far right viewpoints

And, lets not forget, he turned a blind eye to the rape of athletes under his supervision. Never forget or forgive this.

  23. “By a wider margin than expected”? Seems like the writer is going out of his way to be rude to Jordan.

I’m OK with that, I just find it interesting.

  24. I don’t even have a joke or pithy insight. Fuck this guy.

  25. Let me guess, Democrats are obstructionists who don’t care about the country or “functioning government” according to Republicans.

  26. 1) The american government is a fucking embarrasment to its citizens.

    2) Watching the GOP fail to corral its own party is my new kink TBH.

  27. “by a wider margin than expected” – Expected by the commercial media that keeps platforming and fomenting these extremest assholes into power. It’s a bigger story to me that anyone thinks this clown who couldn’t even pass the bar exam should be leader of the House Judiciary Oversight Committee, let alone Speaker of the House and 3rd in line to the Presidency.
