Considering that the land bridge is only about 100km wide, it makes a lot of sense to use the shorter range 165km variant that is able to carry a larger payload for this strike?
That said, I would not garateee that Ukraine doesn’t also have longer range versions as well? One that could hit targets further afield in Crimea. (actually, I’d be prepared to bet that the do….) Time will tell.
