Why does the headline say ‘abducting’ rather than kidnapping and raping, which is what it sounds like.

Not sure if there is some filter trickery, but they look incredibly female in their Facebook photo, yet 100% male in their booking photo.
Why is the ‘dressed as a woman’ part considered to be as important as it is? It seems the least important part of this.
But I’m being disingenuous, I know fine we’ll why it’s so important to the papers..
How do they know that the rapist is a man, have they asked them how they identify?
Pretty sure you get jailed for doing this regardless of what you are dressed as.

She was incredibly brave.
Make sure to put him in a male prison so he can have happen to him what he did to others

Prior to arrest this guy called himself, Amy, used she/her and was a self described transgender woman . Now he’s been arrested fit’s suddenly he /him pronouns and “a man dressed as a woman”. Strange since I’m always told that detransition never happens , and also that no man would ever dress as a women for nefarious purposes. Seems a bit contradictory.
Suspect we’ll see more of these as AGP sex offenders realise it’s better for their cause if they are reported in the press as “men dressed as women” instead of “trans women” as if those are two different things.
