I actually agree with triple lock. The problem is the richest 50 families in the UK have more wealth than the bottom half of the UK.
It’s a neat trick getting the working poor to attack the slightly better off pensioner. A bit like slaves fighting because the master gave one slightly better trousers.
I don’t resent someone having a long happy retirement. Given the progress we have made we should all get to enjoy one.
The triple lock ONLY matters when the economy is in free fall. At the first genuine hurdle the Tories renege..

I don’t particularly like the triple lock, but if he does this the Tories are finished, 90% of their voters will never support them for the rest of their lives.
This year’s Triple Lock will increase the pensions bill by over £10bn.
The 35% pay restoration demand made by NHS doctors, that is so unreasonable government won’t even sit at the table to negotiate until its completely off the cards, would have a net cost of around £1bn.
