I don’t think it’s Met Éireann is the problem here. They issue waring based on set criteria. I often get warning on my MeteoSwiss app about heat, rain, thunderstorms, cold temps and snow. But the difference is the lack of click bait media on weather warnings. This has lead to the fatigue.
“No Bridget, you’re no longer a class 2 relic, just a regular relic”.
Way to go hurting the storms feelings Eoin, what did Storm Bridget ever do to you!
I ignore yellow warnings, to me it just means “weather”.
They’re probably drinking too much.
No shit. It was ridiculous the way they were coming with the yellow warnings.
Don’t eat yellow snow, you’ve been warned
I remember in 2019 they gave a yellow warning to Connacht for wind and the storm took a turn from Leinster and sprung in to the west that evening at Red level territory full blast nearly taking the roof off and for 40 mins it was the most severe wind event I’ve seen in Ireland.
This particular event was far more dangerous than Ophelia.
Is this the one about the snow? It’s a standing order, lads. Don’t eat the yellow snow.
Thats a relief
Be nice if they issued an aul red warning today since half of cork is, ya know, underwater now.
