I have found this old church bell in Lublin, Poland. You can see clearly “Berlin 1833”. Almost certainly it was “acquired” by the Red Army and then abandoned on their way back.
Rusted away near an old Chapel ever since.
Any idea if it’s possible to locate the church it was taken from?

Well, they were kind of lucky to still find some. The Nazis had already removed >100k church bells from German (and occupied) churches to get metals for the war. And in WW1 they also took >60k bells.
