Anybody else think Israel is being hypocritical, they refused to help Ukraine, but are asking others, namely the United States for assistance? I think we should support every Democracy that requires assistance from authoritarian or terrorist threats. I support aid to Israel, but I think they’re selfish and only think about themselves.
Now I’m sure somebody will call me an “antisemite” for this view. That’s another thing, soon as one criticizes Israel, they’re called “antisemitic.” How many millions of people protested the 2003 Iraq war? How many people didn’t like George Bush? How many people don’t like mango Mussolini trump? How many people don’t like President Joe Biden? Having negative views against Governmental policies in the West is all good, it’s part of the First Amendment. They’re not called anti-American. However, negative views of Israels policies label one an “antisemite.” I really don’t care about Israels blockade of Gaza. The palestinians deserve it, they were blockaded because they’re terrorists. I’m just disappointed in Israels policies towards Ukraine and in supporting a Democracy.
It’s really mind boggling Israel has not helped Ukraine because Russia has not supported Israel in its fight against terror. Actually Russia is being critical of Israel and doing the opposite of helping.
Israel had no need for hawk systems now for 15 years yet they refused to hand over systems OWNED BY THE US because it was in their inventory.
Isreal could have given every single hawk and launcher and it wouldnt have made an iota difference.

Never forget had a bunch more asterisks they never told us about.
Israel will never help anyone else. Also, we all know that Ukraine is taking the greatest possible care not to kill Russian civilians (though some will inevitably die – like the several that were on the Kerch bridge last year). At the end of this current round of the Israel-Palestinian conflict we also all know that far more Palestinian civilians will have died than Israeli ones. Yet the US will continue to support Israel no matter what they do – they have a blank cheque. Every donation the US gives to Ukraine has to be wrung out of the country under the ever watchful eye of the Christo-fascists in Congress, whilst the endless moronic mass murder ( whether committed by Islamist arseholes or Zionist arseholes) has to be supported by arms, because, you know, this is the land of religion, the land of God, the land of hate…. …they all (save for the children and the noble few adults), deserve each other.
Gold and diamonds? Massive trade in both through Israel as transit hub.
Israel is still occupying sovereign Syrian territory, its the only country on the planet OTHER than Russia that the UN designates as occupying sovereign territory in another nation state.
If they condemn Russia, then its hypocrisy.
“Reason,” singular?
Let’s count the reasons…
If I were to pick one reason, it would be this: Netanyahu is another one of these people who believes that it is manly and decisive or whatever the fuck to only take into account the views of “people who matter.” To dismiss everyone else as little people, who don’t count, and whose sole role is to do as they’re told by their betters.
For these people, we are seeing, it doesn’t matter if they see themselves as Putin allies. Or are categorized as Putin allies. They can think they are totally opposed to the guy, or totally independent of his influence, yet because of their “people who matter” blinders, they will always cater to him.
Israel is ill-served by this kind of nonsense, just as any nation is that isn’t Russia. (And even Russia may start to think twice about Putin before much longer…) But Israelis for all their vaunted pragmatism also love a lot of macho bluster and that sweet feeling of sweeping everything aside and saying, “I only care about people who really matter, sorry if that hurts your feelings.”
So unfortunately — for Israel and for everyone else — Netanyahu has his fans.
I’m all for aiding Ukraine. But let’s not pretend EVERYONE’s geopolitical risk and resource allocation should go to Ukraine.
Before the Russian invasion forced the PRC’s hand – the Ukrainian’s marine turbine and jet engine technology base was the largest proliferation source for the PRC. Those marine turbines that the PRC uses for their navies? Ukrainian origin. The new jet engines powering PRC’s 4th and 5th gen fighters? Ukrainian origin.
So maybe when demanding aid and support from foreign interests with unique geopolitical challenges – maybe look in the mirror and think… what has Ukraine done for Israel? Or What has Ukraine done for Taiwan (since the discourse involves Hawk systems & Taiwanese antiship missiles).
I would suggest that Hamas’s latest attack on Israel and threats from Hezbollah and Iran to join in are a good reason Israel would want to hang onto all of the weapons it can. If they do Israel might need them as much as Ukraine. It doesn’t require any assumed affinity to illiberal governments to explain their actions.
It’s because Netanyahu is a coward and a traitor. His voters are literally called “bots”.
